Call it envy – if you will, but if I glimpse one more lurking and smirking Suburu owner – I’ll scream. Unfortunately, I’m eating a little “humble pie,” now. When I smugly wrote recently, about our “small, snow storm,” I thought that it would melt within 24 hours. Wrong. The snow has hung and clung, for over a week.
My greatest gripe – aside from someone buying all of the remaining Starbuck’s ice cream at Safeway, is my truck. My faithful, dependable and trusty Toyota got stuck in snow. Oy! Although I’m no stranger to snow driving, this dastardly drift damn near defeated me. Even the extra cat litter in the back (enough to last the local Humane Society, at least a week) didn’t help. I simply didn’t have the weight that it would take, for an easy way out.
With the aide of a “Good Samaritan” (a man wearing a red reindeer hat and purple overalls) – I finally, freed my truck from frustrating flakes. It figures, that some smarmy, Suburu driver – smiled and waved, as I drove away. I love my truck, and don’t intend on swapping it for a Suburu. But I also don’t plan on moving to Arizona, to avoid snow situations. Fortunately, we seldom have snow, and soon my Toyota – will be whizzing by those four-wheel driving dorks!
